James Chiles. And the only mention of the Durrett surname is a Curtis. I do see a mention to a Louisa and Richard Chiles in the Emmaus Deciples Church ( Antioch in Bowling Green). Can you give me Affiliation? The Chiles name is also found mentioned in association with Carmel Baptist Church, SW of Bowling Green. This one being a William I Chiles. There is an Edmund C Chiles, James F. Chiles ( doesn't say he's a pastor, Elizabeth Chiles and Lucy Ann Chiles, John E., William T.,Samuel L. This appears to be all for the Chiles surname.     3. Wow, there are so many! My line is Walter Anderson CHAPMAN born 1809. His father may or may not have been George CHAPMAN, but could also be Phillip CHAPMAN (b. before 1760 and married to Frances SHADDOCK (m. 1825, where he adopted her two sons by Mordecai SHADDOCK) and later Elizabeth GATEWOOD (m. 1832). Walter Anderson's brother is more than likely James CHAPMAN, born about 1806, since a pre-war census shows his son, Walter Frank, living with "uncle" James CHAPMAN in Caroline Co. James had two wives, Frances STEWART (m. 1844) and Mary Ann ROBINSON (m. 1850). There are many, many other Chapmans in Caroline County, and they are likely all related in some way. Bill

Marshall (the son) and there is information that James' wife, Susan Henshaw was actually Susan Chenault of King and Queen Co. and she married again after James H.
