I do not see the Mahon surnames listed here, however, the Redd surname is present. It is for the Redds of Cedar Vale. James and Miss Eastham. I see a Elizabeth Redd, but no married to George Mahon. The Elizabeths I have are: Elizabeth Taylor Redd marries Williamson Talley. Sarah Elizabeth daughter of Samuel And Cornelia McLaughlin Redd. She died unmarried 1917. Have them on the Caroline Co Census in 1860. Lewis's parents were Martha Wyatt and Robert Garrett. That's all the information I have on them. Lewis Wyatt Garrett and Emily Frances Bowers Garrett had at least 6 children - James Ellis M. Garrett; Catherine A. "Kitty" Garrett (b. 6/10/1834 - d. 1898); William N. Garrett; Mary J. Major William Henry Haynes was born Aug 30, 1785 in Virginia and died May 10, 1873 in Clifton Forge, Va (Alleghany County). He was a Major in the War of 1812. One of his sons was names William Hill Haynes. He was born in Botetourt County, Va Jan 6, 1810 and died in 1894. He was a Captain in the Civil War. Married Jenetta Gilliland Nov 2, 1843 in Alleghany Co, VA. You can look through the info on our tree and might be able to piece something together. Not sure if they were paid for their land or not. There were graves on the family estate that were not moved - just the headstones, but haven't been able to locate those.     3. I know that the Goodloes were from Middlesex Co and moved to Caroline Co. and also the Carters were there and they intermarried with the Goodloe family.. I am not sure if the Chapmans were in that area also and moved with them to Caroline Co. or if Geo. and Dianna met there and married. Caroline Marriage Records bond posted by William Armistead. According to a paper we found in the Virginia Historical Society (the King papers of Fredericksburg, VA) showed Fanny's father and mother William Armistead Jordan and Sarah (Pemberton) Jordan (parents not verified). James had one son William Armistead Payne and one daughter Jane Payne. James died in 1812 and his wife 2 wks later. Would this be the Fanny Jordan and James in your posting of June 27, 2006?     3. I was told that George and Frances Dianne were cousins, but I have not proved that. I am sure that George was the son of Joseph and Catherine Stevens. In looking at the info tonight I see where a John Stevens was listed as Exors. I also saw where one of the grandchildren of Abner and Phebe's was named Samuel. Wonder if the S the middle initial of William their son was for Samuel? Abner was from Caroline Co. according to 1810 Census and 1820 Census.     3. Sorry to butt in, but my Bankhead's lived on 'Spring Grove' ca 1800. I'd enjoy corresponding with anyone with info on it. I apparently drove by it several years ago since it is supposedly but a mile or so north of Gunea Station where Stonewall Jackson breathed his last. Thanks.

Supposed to have built by Edmund Pendleton. does anyone know New Gate? In Edmund's will, that farm was left to his wife during her lifetime then his nephew. The last farm the Richersons owned in Caroline was called Andalusia. Any know the origin of that name?
