Posted on: Caroline Co. Va Query Forum Board URL: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Va/Caroline?read=1427 Surname: Bramlett, Bramblett ------------------------- BIOGRAPHY: This information was given to me by a researcher who shall be unnamed here because we are not researching her. Possible matching tie to Bedford Co, Va William Bramlett, who was probably the immigrant ancestor, first appears in 1715 in Essex Co. Virginia. Part of Essex was cut off and made into Caroline Co, Va, and then William fell inside the new county. In the 1750's he moved to Pittsylvania County and is on the tax records in 1752. A part of Pittsylvania was cut off and made Bedford County, Va.(I enter here that what is not clear to me is when Bedford County was made so to make sense of where he was and when) He was still living in 1762 when he was paid a small amount of money for some reason out of an estate. He probably died soon after since he was a very old man then. Note that the spelling of the last name was Bramlett,Wife's name unknown I have no wife for him. He was born abt 1684 and before 1694. William's son Henry was born Abt 1710 d. between 1752 & 1758 in Prince William County. Unknown is where he was born and a wife's name. Henry had a son Rueben b. abt 1734 and I doubt that this is your lady's husband. Let me know if this connects I would like to know any marriage works.

Posted on: Caroline Co. Va Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Va/Caroline?read=1410 Surname: Taylor ------------------------- Hello Polly, I am interested in knowing if you have any information on Robert Taylor and Armazinda. I have been puzzling over her name for some time. I have found her listed as Omozena, Ormizinda, Samasendy (with daughter Tamasendy), Amasinda and Armazindo? - but not sure on that one. Any ideas as to her background? My line descends from their son, Robert S. Taylor. This Taylor family appears to have been from the Eagle's Nest (Passing) area. Do you suppose that Armazinda might have been a Rappahannock indian? There are still some in that area. I've talked with a few but nobody remembers that far back. And there are no written records that I can find. Just a thought. I'd appreciate any information you might care to send. Thanks. Carter Skinner
