My Dickersons were not the Chestnut Valley ones but lived in St Margarets Parish in the southern part of Caroline next to Hanover County. My great great grandfather was Benjamin Dickerson who was born near Ladysmith just north of Golansville in 1824. He moved to Richmond in 1839 and is buried there with his wife Sarah Dickerson. I need to know more about his mother and father and his relationship to the earlier Dickersons of that part of Caroline County.
