    3. Posted on: Caroline Co. Va Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Va/Caroline?read=1667 Surname: Saunders, Waller, Jones ------------------------- I am looking for birthdate information on Reuben Saunders, born in Caroline Co. VA. He was married in Caroline Co. VA on Nov.22,1825 to Lavinia Jones Saunders DOB June 11,1803, daughter of Colonel (Capt?) William Saunders and Sarah Jones. I am looking for birthdate information, as well as military service, pension records (if any - I have reason to believe he may have fought in Revolutionary War) and deathdate/place information. I am also interested in his parents names, places of birth, dates of birth and sibling information. I included the Waller name, since it was my gt.grandfather's and grandfather's middle name, and was also the middle name of one of Lavinia's sisters, Lucy Waller Saunders. Thought that this might help define my search. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I too am looking for tracks left by my Hines family on their way to central Va. and beyond. I have a book titled "A History of Caroline County" that has a couple of references to a John Spaulding. This shows he entered the colony in 1741 and sold his Headright (50 acres) in 1754 to a James Taylor. Taylor was buying up Headrights from a number of people. The book also mentions John Spaulding being involved in a dispute around 1765. He is referred to as a roughneck. If you come across the Hines name please let me know. Thanks, Jim
