It is about 5-7 miles Southeast of Bowling Green, the main town of Caroline county. I noticed you are searching the Gravatt family. My 4 great grandfather William H Bruce married 2nd, Harriet Gravatt, daughter of Ellis Gravatt. They lived in Sparta from about 1820's - 1830's as well as in Fredericksburg. They had a son Charles Gravatt Bruce, who coincendentally removed close to Springfield, Missouri in the 1850s. He was a coachmaker like his father in Missouri and died in 1901.
