Hi! Anything you might have on the Wyatts of Caroline County, with the home base being "Plain Dealing". I would like especially to learn what your material might show regarding Sarah Wyatt who married Matthew Thom(p)son. Sarah would have been born around the mid-1750's. Also, my Thompson might be related to the Peatross family there in Caroline, but we do not have proof of a connection. I would very much like to learn any Peatross info where a John or Matthew Thompson might be related/mentioned. Very much thanks, Ken Thompson.
I am seeking information on Franklin Manley CARTER born circa 1817 in Caroline County, Virginia. He married Julia A. BACHE. I am looking for his parents. Franklin and Julia had: John Wesley 1856, Lucy 1853, Fanny 1857, Mary C. 1869, & Franklin M. Jr. 1861. If there is a connection with our two Brooks lines, it most likely is that your James is a brother of Bluford, the father of Philip. I too am seeking information about a Thomas Jones of Caroline County/Bowling Green, Virginia. Specifically "Thomas L. Jones", born circa 1812 (in New Jersey according to Census records), married "Mary L. H. Cecil" in Caroline Co., where he/they lived the remainder of his/their lives. They had several children, including my great grandmother Ida Belle Jones. I'm away from my database (home computer) for 2 more days, but would love to compare notes with anyone who may think we have a possible link. Thanks for posting your data with the list. David E. I am very interested in a possible link between your Thomas JONES, Sr. and 5 brothers who left St. Margaret's Parish before 1760. The 5 brothers are Robert, John, James, Richard, & Ambrose all settling on the NC/VA border in Halifax & Mecklenburg Cos., VA and Granville Co., NC. Robert was of St. Margaret's Parish according to a 1752 deed in Granville Co. and I believe he may have been a Constable in St. Margaret's Parish ca 1740. I am still looking for the parents of Abner Chapman. I know Abner married Phebe Carter in 1809 Caroline County, Va. Her parents George Carter and Frances Diane Goodloe, who had three children Goodloe, Joseph and Phebe. I am also interested in where Phebe might be buried. I think it is Kentucky but haven't found the notice of death which was probably before 1839 when Joseph their son died and left a will in Woodford County, Ky. Abner was probably living there at that time as my gggrandmother took care of him in Woodford County according to his will. They do not appear on the 1840 census. According to will Joseph was guardian of Abners younger children. 1850 census shows Abner in Woodford County with his son Anthony and daughter Malvina Chapman living their with her children by the name of Upton. I have this marriage. Dorothy Wogh Will appreciate any help I can get in finding Abner's parents. Dorothy Wogh
