Looking for a connection to Walden and Robinson. I understand that one of the sons of my grgrandfather, David Robinson ,married a Walden. They were in the Fluvanna , Goochland, Co's area of Virginia. David was married twice, his first wife was Mary Hodges and the son would have been by her. He then married my grgrandmother Mary Herndon. in Fluvanna. He was born abt. 1789 and died in Fluvanna in 1861. Served in the war of 1812. Several of the women married men from the Ellis family in Caroline Port Royal VA. I am seeking more information on the Ellis family, specifically - Captain Ellis (Captain was his first name not a title). He was born around 1875 and died in 1932 in Spotsylvania County as the result of injuries from a saw mill accident. He was Lucy Jane Woodfolk's husband. They had a son named Silas and possibliy a son named Robert. - Silas Ellis was born Aug 9, 1902 and died Spr 14 1967 in Washington DC. According to his SS-5, he worked for the Sylvania Industrial Corp in Fredericksberg, VA in 1936. He had a sone name Haley/Hailey. - Josephine Ellis was born around 1882 and died in 1971. She married William Woodfolk. Her parents were Nancy and Wormley Ellis. Other Ellis's of interest are: Wormely Sr. Nancy Oliver Robert Lou (female) Nanne Thronlate/Thornton Anthony Steven Hatty Lewis Willie A. Turner is listed as Wormley Sr. and Nancy Ellis daughter in law in the 1880 cenus. I would like to know how she is related to the Ellis's I would greatly appreciate any information you can provide. I descend from Valentine and Elizabeth (Carneal) Long. Valentine was born in 1795. I do not know yet who his parents were. Also his son, Archibald (Archie) married Mary Thacker. I've seen the Benjamin name and am still searching to see if he might be related to my family. I only have photos of my great-grandfather who is Samuel Sier Long. I wish I had more on the Long family.

John died 1756. He had 4 children that I know of.. AMBROSE LONG, Francis, Ann and John Jr. Ambrose protested his will and lost the protest. He then joined the war and left home. He never returned. He ended up in Person County, NC. From what I understand there was a Benjamin Long that is somehow connected to this family because Benjamin went to Person County before Ambrose did. I do not know what happened to Francis, Ann or John Jr. I am estimating these children were all born about 1730 something. Ambrose was b. 1736 If your book goes back that far with the Long's I might be able to put your book on the best seller list !! Thank You for looking...
