Trice in Caroline As footnotes for this marriage: Marriage Bond for Samuel Wright and Mary Brooks dated 22-Dec-1836, Hiram Brooks surety, married 22-Dec-1836, by M. W. Broadeuss, min Caroline County marriage bond for Hiram Brooks and Hannah Brooks, dated 24 Jan 1836, Edmund Ennis surety, (This is editor's note: Are Hiram and Mary brother and sister? Physical Description of Haislip Family Cemetery in Caroline Located just over the present Caroline line, in the edge of Spotsylvania county on Blue Star Lane.  The cemetery is located on a private road one mile from Blue Star Lane on land now owned by David Satterwhite.  This cemetery is well maintained and a high brick wall, approximately 22 yards by 17 yards and 5 foot high, encloses the site.  There is an iron gate at the entrance.  The construction of this wall was a project of the Spotsylvania High School masonry class, when Jimmy Clarke was a Student.  There is a walnut tree in the back corner of the cemetery and also there are 4 graves in the back marked at the head with field stones. On the other end, near the marked graves, are 3 other graves marked by field stones, two adults and one child.  Four graves are marked with commerical stones: Joseph A. Haislip 1836-1901, Dorotha A. Where does this info come from. My info on William comes from the DAR. In the DAR Patriot Index ................. William Buckner b. ca. 1730 Virginia d. Feb 1788 Virginia. m. (1) Lucy Thornton, (2) Mary Madison Lt. VA. And his will shows him of St Asaph Parish, Caroline Co., VA. Will was written in 1783 and proven in 1788. I found several of his children in Green Co., Kentucky. Which of his children are you needing info on. Maybe we can compare our notes. Any info on William and Mary would be very much appreciated.
