    3. I'd like to correspond with any Caroline (and vicinity) County, Va researchers of the Richeson / Richardson Families. I'm trying to piece together more clues about the parentage of Jane (Jennie) Richardson,  who married one of the eight Combs brothers that settled Perry County in Eastern Kentucky. If it turns out that Capt Joseph Richeson is her father, well,  I guess I married my 10th cousin ! Any cussin' and discuss' of said subject would be welcome  !! MikeP,  Madison Co, Ky

War pension that he was born in Caroline County in 1760. I have been unable to locate him on Caroline County roster of Rev. This James King is listed on Edgefield County, S.C. census of 1790. He died in Ga. in 1841. He had a number of children, Willis, Margaret, Josuah, and other names unknown. Did Sam father George with Polly? There is a marriage record of a Sam Scott marrying Polly Scott in Tennessee but I don't know if they're the same two people. Can you help? Author: vwinslett52 Surnames: Walden & Pearson Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.virginia.counties.caroline/4382/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Sarah Walden was born in 1764 in Caroline Co, VA and married in 1786 in Caroline Co a Mr. Pearson. Sarah's marriage, possibly recorded in family documents in the mid 1800s, provides her husband's name as Thomas; the records of their hildren's births, possibly written in the 1790s, consistently give his name as Jno/John. He is never referred to as "John Thomas" in our records. Pearson and Sarah Walden had three daughters and four sons. Their first two known children were John b 1787 and William M. b 1790; I do not know where they were born. The last two known children were Catherine b 1791 and Thomas b 1797, who were both born in Fairfax Co, VA. Our family legend is John/Thomas Pearson fought in the Revolutionary War. 4 or 5 John Thomas (or some combination of names) Pearsons served from VA, but I cannot definitively connect a military record to him, and more troublesome is that I could not find a pension application. Sarah Walden Pearson died 13 Jan 1846 in Washington! DC and her husband died 10 Jul 1826 in Fairfax Co, VA. Have been looking a long, long time and would love knowing more about this family!
