He later moved to Wythe County. My great great grandfather was George Washington Hancock and ahis Civil War Pension application states that he was born in Campbell County, VA. Given his age at the time of the application he was born abt. 1830. In a book titled "The Lost children of Wythe," Obediah is listed as George's father. In a death notice for Obediah's wife, her name is listed as Jane. I believe her to be Nancy Jane Bragg. If anyone has any information or could help point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. This has been my stone wall for some time now.
