The one in Caswell ( I think that is right) is the one that married Lucy Barber. He had children Isabella and Elisha that I know of. The Abner that married (Elizabeth )Snow? was the one in Iredell? Is that right. I am sorry about the miscall on wife of Abner from Campbell county that was the son of William and Ann Owen Dudley. His brother Absolom married Elizabeth Joiner.Dreamer Fogle on this board is a descendant of Absolom's and Charles Hamm on Genforum BB. is a descendant of Abner's through his daughter Isabella. I do not know where the name Abner Dudley came from ,nor do I know who the parents of William Dudley were. I can only trace him back to 1746 or 49 in Goochland/ Cumberland county before he moved to Bedford(later Campbell co.) and married Ann Owen around 1771.He must have been married before and had Armistead Dudley and maybe Chloe Dudley who married John Welch and moved to N.C.,because thei! r B.dates are before 1771( when he married Ann) Some of his earlier land deeds are signed by William and an Elizabeth Dudley.Wish I could be of more help!
