Please send me the forms to become a long-distance member of the CCHS. $10 is a small price to pay for the hard work the local residents of Campbell County do for ALL of us interested in the County!!! Thanks again, Sarah in Texas The next meeting of the Campbell County Historical Society will be Saturday, October 12, 2002, at 1:30 PM, at the Bedford City/ County Museum, East Main Street, Bedford. The program will be held in the 3rd floor meeting room of the museum. This will be a joint meeting of the Campbell County Historical Society and the Bedford Genealogical Society. In addition, members of the Bedford County Historical Society as well as of local chapters of the National Daughters of the American Revolution have been invited to attend. Interested guests are welcome. The title of the program is, "Assessing New London, Virginia: A Colonial Town Faces Destruction." Randy Lichtenberger and Michael Jennings will present the program, both of whom are staff, employees of Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest. This wil be a very imformative meeting and I hope you will attend. If you are not a member of the Campbell County Historical Society you are invented to attend and meet the members and discover what the CCHS is all about. If you are interested in joining please e-mail me and I will send you PDF application form for you to print, fill out and return to the CCHS along with your $10.00 per year dues. You will receive a quarterly newsletter with informative articles pertaining to our history and keeping you informed on what is being done today to help preserve our heritage.
