Having reviewed Sidney B. Sale's obit again I noticed him mentioned as a member of an old and substantial family of Amherst Co. I NEED SOME HELP!!! I know that Sidney B.(10 Nov 1842-25 Feb 1916; married an Emma Frances Sneed of Lynchburg 3 Feb 1844-25 Aug 1923) and William H. (d. 26 Dec 1900; married a Sallie) are sons of Woodson P. Sale and his wife, Nancy Burks. I know nothing else of Woodson or Nancy aside from an entry in the Rockbridge Co. grantor's index. 20 Jan 1843. There has to be someone out there that has run across these people. Any info you can grant would be much appreciated.
