I am looking for information concerning James Hamlet who died about 1836 in Campbell County and was married to an Elizabeth Fuqua. In his will he leaves property to "My surviving children viz. Lucy Hamersly; John Hamlet; Armistead Hamlet; Elizabeth Wilson and James Hamlet to each receive 1/9 part of my estate." In an inventory found in another will book Lucy Hamersly's legatees seem to be James B. Hamersley, William B. Hamersley, Sarah Hammersley, Mary T. Hamersley, Nancy Jane Hamersley, and Richard Mann. I believe Nancy Jane Hamersley may be my great-great grandmother. I was wondering if anyone on the list can tell me anything about James Hamlet and his relationship to Lucy Hamlet. Does anyone know anything about a Richard Hamersley who married a Lucy "Hamlet" in 1807? Thank you.
