You've hit at the heart of my problem with the Lambs. I have several within my tree that I have not been able to attach to the proper parents. First, my line runs through Mary Jane Butler, b. 28 Apr. 1818 in Campbell Co. She married Barnabus Arthur Harris (son of Benjamin Butterworth Harrisa and Susanna Eidson) 24 Sep. 1840 in Randolph Co. The line followed the route you outlined earlier through Cass County, Iowa, with the couple's daughter Martha Catherine (Mattie - and my gg grandmother) marrying William Cornelius Peacock in Cass County. The Peacocks eventually ended up in Greene Co., IA. I have Nathan actually married to another Butler daughter. (Most of this is based on Bedke.)
