I read the book "I Wrote You Word...the Poignant Letters of John Lee Holt" and it was a most fasinating and interesting book. I had not heard or read anything about the war from a foot soldiers point of view. Before I read John Lee's book I read the book on the 56th Virginia Infantry Regiment and it was most interesting to compare, what might be termed and "official" account with that of a foot soldier. Since I made the post last year I have acquirred the names of all of the children, at least I think so, but I do not have some of the dates of birth and death. If you have any of these dates I would appreciate it if you would share them with me. I do not have the following: James F. Holt - birth and death (do you know what the F is?)
