I don’t think I did. I only found it today after receiving a recent query question and response from Carolyn Cunkle to you and you to her. In May 2002 I was in the process of changing Internet providers so I am sure I didn’t receive it. Yes, I would like to see the information you have on Vincent Glass who died in 1746/47. It could be possible that he is the father of Vincent Glass who was born 1746 and is my ggg grandfather. As I said in my query I have never been able to track down the early life of Vincent. Vincent did marry Mary Jones the daughter of Aaron Jones and Sarah Stroud in 1782. I don’t know if Bailey Jones was his brother–in-law or not. Again, I have no early information on him either. Aaron Jones and Sarah Stroud had the following children that have been verified by descendants: Mary b. 1755 Lucy b. 1761 Moses b. 1764/65 Gabriel b. 1767 Henry b. 1770 Aaron Jr. b. 1774 John b. 1778 Mason b. 1785 Some of the latter children may have been born by Sarah but doubts are in question since she lived 1733 – 1804 and would have been 52 when Mason was born. Aaron lived 1731 – 1804, both died in Lincoln County, Georgia. It is possible that Bailey may have been a son of Aaron Jones since he was born about 1755 and died 1850-1860. He no doubt was possibly or somehow related to the Jones family. There were many Jones, Glass, and Corbin families living in the immediate area of Culpeper, VA. I have never found any information on him, other than he was a friend of Vincent Glass and both were soldiers in the Revolutionary War. They are buried almost side by side in the Rockhill Baptist Church Cemetery near Flushing Ohio. Both men have been verified as Revolutionary War soldiers by the DAR. Bailey married Lucy Corbin (daughter of John Corbin and Frances Fant), and their daughter Mary Jones (not to be confused with Vincent’s Mary) married Aaron Glass son of Vincent Glass and Mary Jones. Vincent's wife Mary Jones died sometime in 1813. He then married Susanna Dean in the first part of 1814. Vincent and Susanna left Culpeper County, Virginia after June 13, 1814. They lived in Harrison County, Virginia until about 1816, then moved to Wood County, Virginia and stayed until sometime in 1822, they then moved to Washington County, Ohio until sometime in 1829 and finally settled in Belmont County, Ohio. He died in 1834 and is buried in the Rockhill Cemetery in Flushing Township, Belmont County, Ohio. He is listed in D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution) as John Vincent Glass or Henry Vincent Glass. Additional Information: Vincent was discharged in 1778 and returned to his home near Gaines Cross Roads (now Ben Venue in Culpeper County) now Rappahannock County, Virginia. Soon thereafter his house burned and his discharge papers were burned in the fire, and he was unable to furnish proof of service in later years when he applied for a pension. Several attempts were made by Susanna and his son Aaron to gain this pension. Other Information: Deed Book GG P.237 - Culpeper County, Virginia: Vincent Glass and Wife Susanna sell 534 acres to Samuel Baker of Frederick County on June 13, 1814. Deed Book FF P.33 - Culpeper County, Virginia: Vincent Glass sells 407 acres to Charles Allen, Wm. Settle and Byrd Eastham of Culpeper County, Virginia on March 3, 1812. Deed Book CC P.221 - Culpeper County, Virginia: Vincent Glass sells 100 acres to John McNeal and Philip Lightfoot of Culpeper County, Virginia on March 21, 1808. Deed Book 0 - 0.146: Aaron Jones gives negro boy to son-in-law Vincent Glass on September 17, 1787. This is my ancestral lineage on my mother’s side of the family. My mother was a Glass. I hope your information may be helpful in uncovering the early life of my ggg grandfather Vincent Glass Donald Taylor
