June 6, 1822 in Augusta Co., VA. He married Mary "Polly" Harrison in 1845 in Rockbridge Co., VA and had three children. When the youngest boy was only approx a yr old...he walked out the door, picked up the child in the yard and kissed him goodbye, left and was never heard from again. Some say he MAY have gone back to Ireland, but no one knows exactly where he went or what happened to him. Would love to know if he remarried, had other children, or if he indeed died an unknown.
