Hello, I live in SC, and have family buried at Springhill Cemetery, and was wondering when some of them died. My 3rd great-grandmother Cordelia Lee Turner Skinnell was buried there in 1925. Her husband was Walter Daniel Skinnell. He was living after 1942, and I am not sure when he died, but he is surely buried beside her. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mark Bray SC

I have many relatives buried in Spring Hill and have visited the cemetery a number of times. I have had real good success writing, via snail mail, to the cemetery office. The ladies there are very helpful and have mailed me copies of lot cards plus other information they have on individuals. I have on several occasions given them a surname and they sent me information of all persons with that surname buried there. In March 2005 their letterhead showed an E-mail address of SPHILLCEM@AOL.COM. I have never used the E-mail address. Their snail mail address is: Spring Hill Cemetery Association 3000 Fort Hill Avenue Lynchburg, Virginia 24501-3808 Glen Harvey -- "Volunteer for Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness at http://www.raogk.org"
