Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HBC.2ACI/1206 Message Board Post: This question goes out to anyone who does frequent property research at the Campbell County Clerk's Office. When I was there last week, I inquired about the location of their land tax records, and was told that they don't have them. Jones Memorial Library has land tax records for most counties (including Campbell) on microfilm up to 1850, but not after. I'm looking for Campbell County records between 1870 and 1895. Any suggestions? Richmond? Scott
Hey Scott, I take it that you live in Richmond, VA. Well, the County Seat of Campbell Co. is in Rustburg, Campbell Co., VA. Take Rt. 29 South out of Lynchburg for about 15 to 20 miles, as you cross the railroad tracks, turn to the right and you'll go right by the courthouse. Wish you the best.
