Hi Mary! Thanks for you reply The grave is in Campbell County, VA. Located at what is now Boxley Rick Quarry off Lawyers Road. It is also adjacent to a closed golf course called Cedar Hills. I believe the quarry is taking over the property. I understand he is being moved to the Spring Hill Cemetery in Lynchburg. Thanks for any help you can provide. Carolyn, Great to hear from you! The golf course was originally my gggrandparents farm. I know that Edward's sister, Judith, who died as an infant was buried in the same place. So was another sister, Sallie Ann Alexander Nash. I expect their parents are also buried there and possibly their brother, William who also died in the war, although I don't know that for sure. The golf course got permission to lay the gravestones flat. Twenty-five or so years ago one of my aunts took me there to show me where the homeplace had been and where the graves are. The stones were almost entirely overgrown and we could only find the one with Judith & Edward's names and the one with Sallie Ann's name. Who is in charge of moving the graves and are they moving all of them?
