Glen, Thank you very much, I appreciate your help and kindness. No names jumped off the page as mine, I will keep it in my "bits and pieces", you never know when a match might turn up. Sorry to be late with this idea, but I happen to know that one William Cheek most certainly lived in Bedford Co. VA, and had a family there and was still there in 1787. Exactly where he lived in Bedford I don't know, but since he was still a resident in 1787 it would seem to rule out a residence in Campbell Co. since Campbell was cut off from Bedford in 1782. I've now forgotten names of this Wm Cheek's children except for a daughter named "Stelly or Stella" who married in Bedford. Of further, this Wm Cheek moved on South across the line into Granville County ,North Carolina, and he has been traced since by a descendant whom I know and who lives in the same town as I do. If you want to pursue this idea further please let me know and I'll contact my friend who is on that line and see if I can put you in touch. Sorry to say I have no connection, but I ran across this Wm Cheek several times in research on my quest for Hunt records. Sincerely, Bill Hunt ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephanie Miller" <stephie21@charter.net> To: <vacampbe@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 22, 2007 10:11 PM Subject: Re: [VACAMPBE] 1782-1800 marriage record > Glen, Thank you very much, I appreciate your help and kindness.
