He was the son of Samuel Frazier the latter being son of Martha Martin and Charles Frazier. Charles died and David Frazier married Martha (are buried the Timothy Cemetary). Victor's father Samuel enlisted in the Civil War just before Vicksburg at the ripe old age of 13yrs old. He joined up with David Frazier's Reg't. the 15th Miss. Infantry. Samuel was captured at Vicksburg and paroled there after taking the oath of Allegiance, but when freed, caught up with his Reg't. and finished out the war. Victor said that was probably why many people called his dad "Fightin' Sam". Anyway, Victor was 90 yrs or so last I saw him a few yrs before he died and was still getting around as well as some men 20yrs younger. His mind was slipping alittle but he used to tell us all the time about going to visit Percy Frasier and Dave Frasier in Minden, LA when he was younger. He ! was very fond of them. Anyway, I thought you would like to know that. Have a Great day, Joe S. Frazier Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
