I now have a new name, Patrick Henry Childress. My gr-grandfather, Edward J. Childress did marry Mary Susan Arthur. I am now looking at their old fashion marriage document. They had 8 children: Edward Cleveland, Cecil G., Erman, Luther, Bertha, Nannie Belle, Myrtle, and Mary. Myrtle is my maternal grandmother. I have no other info except a few birth and death dates. I know that he died on 2 April 1932. His wife. Mary Susan Arthur, died in 1914. I would love to have info on his siblings and parents. You mentioned his mother, but did not mention her by name. What further info could you share? Do you have the full obituary? I was just visiting Roanoke last week and found nothing in Alta Vista or Rustburg. I was also searching for info on Mary Susan Arthur and her father Granville (or Greenville) Arthur and wife Frances Deacon (or Dacon). I am sorry it took me awhile to get back with you.
