    3. Does anyone know if the Revely-Callaham Cemetery is online? I'm trying to find out what Reveleys are buried there besides Robert Jennings Revely 1820-1890 and his son George Overstreet Reveley. The Cemetery is off 501 from Lynchburg to Rustburg. In 1880 Robert Jennings Reveley and his family lived in Rustburg. I found a slew of Callahams in Rustburg, I'll bet they bought the property after Robert died in 1890, and let the Reveleys bury other family members there. I'm not aware of Reveleys marrying Callahams. ROBERT JENNINGS REVELEY was born at White Marsh in 1820. He was only three when his parents died. He married Elizabeth Doss in1840. Elizabeth was the daughter of Overstreet Doss, who lived in Mount Athos, near the Oxford Furnace. The Reveleys and the Thornhills were neighbors and in-laws, since Robert's sister Judith married a Thornhill. Financial difficulties caused White Marsh to be lost. In 1850, Robert had 5 slaves and was an Overseer and neighbor to Thornhills, who had many slaves and a large plantation. In the 1860 census, Robert was a Deputy Sheriff at Thornhill's Store. In 1870 the Reveleys were in Lynchburg and Robert was working as a hand on the railroad. In 1880 he was in Rustburg with his wife Eliza & daughters Agnes & Betty. The Reveleys had ten children, and I'm wondering if any of them are buried at the Revely-Callaham Cemetery: WILLIAM REVELEY (1840-1851) ADA JENNINGS REVELEY (1841-1910) THOMAS REVELEY (1842 -1847) GEORGE OVERSTREET REVELEY (1848 -1928) JAMES BRANCH REVELEY (1852-1937) ROBERT FRANCIS REVELEY (1853 - 1947) .....Married Sarah Virginia LeGrand in 1878, had 8 children. LESLIE HOLMES REVELEY (1857 -1925) LELAND REVELEY (1859 -1860) WILLIAM MARVIAN REVELEY (1861-1868) ELIZABETH PATTERSON REVELEY (1863 -1949) Thanks for your help! Sarah Reveley in San Antonio

    3. WOW, thanks a bunch!!! I will write Kay Marshall. The Reveleys didn't move there until after the 1880 census, so those 5 graves in row #1 might be those of Robert Francis Reveley's children: [5] ROBERT FRANCIS REVELEY was born January 1, 1853 in Campbell County, Virginia. His first marriage was to Sarah Virginia LeGrand in January 1878. Their eight children were -Jennings, Herbert, George, Walter, Grace, Mary, Ethel, and Robert. His wife Sarah died in 1892 and he remarried in 1907 to Lydia Foster. They had four children -Robert Jr., Anna,Olivia, and Judith. Robert was a dairyman, and then a farmer. He died April 22, 1947. [6] GEORGE CLARENCE REVELEY was born in l884 in Campbell County, Virginia. He died as an infant in 1885. [6] GRACE REVELEY was a twin to Walter, born May 24, 1885, and died in infancy. [6] ETHEL REVELEY, twin to Mary, was born in May, 1888 and died in 1896. A cousin said [5] LESLIE HOLMES REVELEY (1857 -1925) was buried there.
