    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: JS5FRAZIER Surnames: Frazier Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.virginia.counties.campbell/202.229.228.451.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I cannot find any real strong proof that William Frazier is Benjamin's father. Benjamin is my 4th great grandfather and I see more evidence (researching now for over 25 years) that points toward a Thomas Frazier of Campbell co. VA. If one really studies the early census records of all the possibles, names of head of household and the age and sex of their children listed and carry it on through to 1830 Va. (Benjamin went to MS) Most evidence looks to me to show that Thomas Frazier is the father not William. I would truly like to know how everyone seems to know that it is William not Thomas or Hugh? Also futher down on my line, where did the Simmons come from as a middle name for David Frazier b. 29 Jan. 1829, Attala Co. MS. He is my 3rd great grandfather and I see know record of Simmons being his middle name. One census appears to me to show a J.possibly as a middle initial but very hard to make out. If anyone can answer these concerns that I have, It would be very welcomed. ! I really would like us all to have the same and correct info. in our trees. Thanks, Joe Frazier Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. The Bedford County marriage bond for William Frazier & Susanna Grimes was dated Dec. 20, 1785. James Flanagan was surety. Consent of Joseph and Mary Grimes, parents of Susanna. This abstract was in Dennis & Smith, "Marriage Bonds of Bedford County, Virginia 1755-1800", originally published 1932, my reprint by Genealogical publ. Co. 1989, p. 22. Campbell Co. was formed mainly from Bedford County in 1782.
