Don't get to do research very often. I would love to know more about James & Sarah Freeman and the family. I have some info on Harden's kids. Mary Almond (twin of Martha) was buried 8 Aug 1864,Spring Hill Cemetery, Lynchburg,VA. James Freeman is also buried there as are Harden and Jane Almond. I show Emilco Almond, age 10, on the 1850 census. I show an Eliza, age 17, on the 1860 census, Eliza E., age 26, on the 1870 census, age 34, on the 1880 census and age 54, on the 1900 census. Not married. Harriet not married also. Emilco(Emily)and Eliza could be the same person or she may have died before Eliza was born. I am descended from Walter Coles Almond,b 1854.He married Mary Virginia Otey from Lynchburg, VA. They had 16 children, only 8 living in 1900. Their son, Raymond A. Almond was my grandfather. 2. RAMSEY CEMETARY-Charlotte County, Va. I have information that the family of John Ramsey & Nancy Hazlewood, his wife are buried in the family cemetary. John and Nancy lived on John's father's estate on Louse Creek off Rt 40 on Rt 672 near Midway Baptist Church. Does anyone have information of all the internments in this cemetary. Has this burial ground been located and identified by the Cemetary Project for Charlotte County. Does anyone have a comprehensive record of graves at Midway Baptist Church. I am especially in need of those of the WOODALL and COVINGTON ancestors including William Harrison Woodall and his wife Marinda G. Ramsey Woodall. Marinda's daughter Mary was married 1st to Wm. Pugh 2nd C.T. Glen. A William Pugh was an undertaker in Charlotte County. She would have been only 3 when David died in 1906 but her father, William Simmons Frasier would have had that information and probably passed it on to her. I have a short history of her family but nothing was mentioned about Benjamin's father. I do not believe anyone has any real proof as to Benjamin's father and it is all conjecture at this point. Some serious research in Campbell county may yield further information but I do not believe research on the web alone will prove anything further. David L. Who is Hugh Frazier that mentioned Benjamin in his will? Any help would be appreciated. My third grandfather David Frasier(spelled this way on his tombstone located at Timothy Cemetery near Springhill, La.) did not have a middle name on his tombstone, nor did he have a middle name on the geneology done by Bobby Joel Frasier and Edna Bradford Frasier done in 1983 on Benjamin and his family line. First of all, I am SO sorry that I haven't replied sooner. I thought that rootsweb would let me know if someone posted, but that is evidently not the case. I am descended through James and Sarah (Almond) Freeman's son Grey Lathan. I would be glad to exchange information with you (minus living relatives of course). I have some census records, death records for James and Sarah's children, and William Almond's pension and disability applications. I haven't had any luck yet with Harden and Jane's parents. Most of my research has been through whatever databases I can find for free on the internet, and that's not much for the state of Virginia! I had Eliza Emily as one person based on the census records I had. Are they two different girls? Also, I think that William's wife Ann E. may be James Freeman's daughter (from his first marriage). There are two children, Alice and James Gray, who are listed in the 1870 and 1880 census as Harden and Jane's grandchildren. Do you know who they belong to? Do you know what happened to any of the other Almond children? Sorry for all the rambling questions. I'm easily excited by this stuff!
