Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/HBC.2ACI/571.577.589.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Sarah: Thank you for the fast reply !! I am not sure if their are any connections or not. My great grandfather (on my dads side) was Alexander Revelle (middle name unknown) was born in Lakeville, Mo. in Jan 1856 (which is southwest of Advance, Mo. but no longer exists). I think his mother was named Lucinda Revelle but his father nor his mother was listed on his death certificate (he died in April 1915) and anybody who would have knew any info on him have all passed away and I never talked to any of Alexander's siblings when I was growing up due to my mother and father divorcing and leaving me with my great aunt and great uncle and they raised me from the time I was 2 yrs old(1953) until I got married the first time in 1974. SO, I don't have a clue as to who Alexander Revelle's parents were or if he had siblings. The Revelle name has been spelled differently over the years but they are hard to trace. you see Alex was born in Stoddard County, moved to Scott County (Oran, Mo to be ! exact), and that would have been maybe 1870-1880 and in 1884 he married Almeda Hamilton from Oran, Mo. they had at least 3 children from 1884-1899 and then moved to Delta, Mo. and had at least 3 more children. and Alexander and his wife Almeda, resided there in Delta, Mo until Alex's death in 1915. Almeda died in 1948. I have a hard time tracing Almeda's family too because they are supposed to be from the Oran, Mo area. Well, that's my story. What do you think ? If you have any other questions, just write. Thank You, Mr. Lyndel Revelle

Vincent's father's name was also Vincent b. abt. 1733 of Bedford Co., VA and M. abt. 1756 of Bedford Co., VA. The Vincent that married Elizabeth Grishaw had a son named Jesse who died in Butler Co., KY. Jesse and his parents were Quakers in VA. I have a bible of Jesse's. I hope this helps some. If you have anything you think I could use, please let me know. Like I said, I just found this line so I don't have much info.

    3. Hi. I noticed in a publication on Campbell Co. Will Bk 1 up to 1800 there's mention of Vincent Glass Sr.,Vincent Glass Jr., and Charles Glass living at the same time and apparently related. Have you discovered if Jr. and Charles married and had children? This isn't one of my lines, just browsing. Bailey, I take it, was the son of Aaron Jones. I am searching for information on my gggg grandfather, Vincent Glass. The only info I have was that he died in Lunenburg County, VA 1745-1746 and left a son, also named Vincent (my ggg grandfather). This son, Vincent, an orphan, was to be bound out according to Feb., 1746 Lunenburg Court records. Vincent lived and died (1804) in Campbell, VA. I thought maybe your Henry Vincent may have been named for the Vincent who died in 1745-46. I am sure they are related in some way. Let me know if you are interested in the copies of the above mentioned history. > > > ==== VACAMPBE Mailing List ==== > Genealogist caught chopping down family tree! Microfilm at 11:00. > > >
