I can't help you with this family except to tell you if you can make the links, there is a lot of information in King George co VA in the mid and later 1700's of a Kersy family there. I've got a hunch they also connect to the Keesee family found through King George, Caroline, and later into early Pittsylvania, and later Campbell Co (as well as AL, KY< etc). All the Keesee's (aka Kissee/Kozee/Kaze/etc) seem to come from one George Keesee (also found as Kersey) in King George Co VA. Hence why I was looking at those names in King George Co VA. Could be your earlier ancestors moved from King George to Charlotte and thus to Cambpell Co. BUT that doesn't help you with the ones you asked about. Surnames: Wood Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HBC.2ACI/782 Message Board Post: I am researching the Wood families of Bedford and Campbell County. My grandmother, Katherine Wood Scott was a double Wood. Her mother Ottie (Ida) Wood was the daughter of Charles Henry (Lynch) Wood, who is buried at Bethlehem churchyard in Huddleston Katherines father was Charles Roy Wood, son of William Alexandria Wood and Sarah Catherine Drewery. I need more information on the children of Lynch Wood, and the children of William A Wood. Any information would be helpful. I have names of some children and spouses, but since Lynch Wood was married at least three times, I have hard time figuring out which children belong to which spouses. Also finding it hard to figure out which nicknames belong to which wives. 3 wives were Susan Catherine Foster, Martha Foster, and Nancy Lemon. Need to know who were Goldie, and Sally ? These names appear on various marriage certificates and obituaries of children, as mother with Charles Henry as father. I find this really confusing. Help !!
Morning, Are there any members on the list related to John Royalty? distant cousins, in laws, anyone would be a help. I can not find a thing about this person, except he was from Campbell Co Va.I do have proof he is my 4ggrandfather. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Helen
At last I get a chance to return a little something to this list which helped me several years ago get an important family of my wife's straightened out. The literature had been wrong, and a courthouse visit had straightened the whole shebang out! I wanted to let any ELDER researchers know that I have about 5 1870 Census Images (if you can take attachments) of various ELDER families, including some that have more than one family on a page. Some of these include info I believe will be totally new to you - including additional wife and children, etc., for one. Please contact me - but only if you can accept GIF attachments. Vince Summers
