Hi Fellow Researchers, My father was native of Buckingham and was one of the many Taylors born there. However, I am somewhat perplexed over something. My father's mother was a Banton and indeed her mother was also a Banton before she was married, but it appears to me to be little information on Banton families in the early 1800's in the County. For example, I researched the 1830 Virginia census at the library just yesterday and there were NO Bantons listed in the entire state that year. Am curious to know if anyone else has researched this line and please tell me where they were all "hiding" around 1830.
