Buckingham Courthouse was also burned in 1869 but there are still a lot of records in the courthouse and Historic Buckingham Inc., P. O. Box 152, Buckingham, VA 23921 has done some excellent research. You may also want to visit the Virginia State Library on Broad St. in Richmond.
