Hi Al: Just read your entry. I think I have something for you, but unfortunately this is an educated guess, with no refs to back it up. One of my guys was Thomas Ballow, who was one of the founding fathers of Albemarle Co. [See Edgar Woods' book on Albemarle Co.] Thomas married Jane Thomas whos father was supposedly Lord Mayor of London at some point. One of their daughters was Micah Ballow. She married Jesse Wood. They later moved to Nashville as well. The other children of Ballow were Thomas II , Dorothea [after Thomas's mother] and Elizabeth. Couins often married each other in those days...the families that were close by...two names the same are probably more than a coincidence, no? By the way, are you related to Linder Metts? Jean
