I looked in Buckingham Burials, Vol I,for your Mason and Beverly families, but do not find them. There are some Masons, but the names don't match yours. America, Henry, Lavinia, Louisa, Martha (Molloy) Martha Virginia, Nancy and Virginia. Any of these names familiar to your research? No listing for Beverly In Genealogical Records of B'ham Co., Va, by Whitley, there are 4 Beverlys listed. Elizabeth, Jonathon, Robert and William Elizabeth Beverly m. Zechariah Griffin 18 Sept. 1786. Wm. Fuqua, bondsman Robert Beverly, Esq., is listed as a testator of a will for Robin Brooke written 30 Sept 1778. Also mentined is that a Dr. Hopkins bought lots "in the new town of Beverly at Westlawn". The other 2 are listed in Tax Lists for 1800. None are identified as African Americans. The only Mason listed in this book is "Col. Mason" and only states that he was of the 15th Regiment in the Rev. War. Your work is impressive. Your Joseph and Sarah certainly moved around. Jane
