Am trying to gather info about African American families in Buckingham COunty, including my MASON ancestors. Joseph MASON b 1786 m Sarah Unknown b 1797 in Buckingham County around 1811. Son WIlkinson was born 1812. Other names of children include: Anderson William Melvina Mary Jane Elizabeth I am stuck on Joseph and Sarah. Have not been able to find a marriage bond. I pick Joseph and Sarah up on 1830 & 40 census in Ohio. I believe I found him on the 1820 Botecourt. I know they were in Buckingham County from oral history and Sarah's obit which ofcourse doesn't list her maiden name. Any help appreciated. Momcine@AOL
