There was an ad in The Virginia Gazette newspaper on 28 Nov 1777 "To Be Sold" on 28th day of December, at the dwelling house of Thomas Blakey deceased. He had 200 acres on Arthur Creek of Slate River in Buckingham Co VA called "Fountain Ridge". The land was originally purchased on 8 Sept 1748 (Albemarle Co VA) and patented another 200 acres on 5 December 1749.
