    2. An excellent source for those wanting to know more about the people migrating to Virginia is "Albion's Seed: Four British Folkways in America," by David Hackett Fischer. Got my copy at Barnes and Noble. Chart on p. 238 shows that many of the emigrees were from Wales. Also, "After 1650, Bristol became more important in Virginia's servant trade. The great majority of emigrants from Bristol (87% in one sample) came from the west of England and South Wales. The most important place of origin was the Severn Valley."
