I need Buckingham County Va. help, too. Does anyone have information on a son of Captain Richard Allen (of Cumberland Co., b. 1741) named either Richard, Jr., or Simeon? My grandfather, Noel Jackson Allen, born and died in Buckingham Co. near Enonville (1869-1943). His father, Simeon m. Martha Frances Dunevant, born maybe in Buckingham Co., died there (b. 1823, d. 1910). Oral tradition from 2 sources says Simeon was a son of Richard Allen of Cumberland County and that said Richard descended from James Allen (b. 1608). But, I am having trouble confirming the link. Also, if Capt. Richard was born 1741, he would have been 82 when Simeon was born. Since the 1741 date is generally accepted, I suspect I am missing a generation. Does anybody have any insight on Simeon's parents or Simeon's wife's family (Dunevant)? Many thanks. Noel Allen
