NOW, I might can help you. Claibourne West married Betty Ann Woodson, the SISTER of my Sarah D. Woodson. Sarah D. married Robert Sanders;they went to Christian County like you said. Others in the family went also. MY Robert left also with his wife and if memory serves me right, a son of Claiborne. Claiborne at one time married a Miss____Sanders, believed to be the sister of Robert. I have a copy of the book,Claiborne West of Buckingham Co, Va. written by my dear friend/"cousin" John William Johnson. I found a copy of the will of JAMES SANDERS and he named Robert of course and also named Edward West and Thomas West. Claiborne Dandridge West married this Miss Sanders, a Miss Tindall(had Edward and Drury by Miss Sanders....Drury died in 1850 in Shelby County Texas. Claiborne and Betsy Woodson are buried on West Plantation near the village of Herndon,Christian County. Ky. she was his third wife. By 1830 Thomas West, Edward West and Robert Sanders/families were leaving for the Western district, a part of the Jenkins purchase.
