Woodson R. NEWTON b ca 1821 in Cumberland Co, VA was s/o Charles NEWTON & Nancy WOODSON. By 1860 he had moved to the Marshall Dist. of Buckingham Co, VA. His wife was Martha. Does anyone know her surname? Their children were: Maria C., Ann E., Alfred E., Mary Ellen (married George F. DAVIS), William J., and Henry W. In 1863 Woodson R. NEWTON married as his second wife Jane W. DUNEVANT, d/o Pemberton & Mary DUNAVANT. There was at least one child from this second marriage, Lee NEWTON b ca 1864.
