Seeking to share information with others on above Buckingham families: Arthur Moseley (?-1817/1818) married Nancy (Ann) Watkins (~1785 - ?) on 3 March 1800 in Powhatan County. Arthur was son of Benjamin Moseley of Powhatan Co. Nancy was child of Edward Watkins & Mary Walthall, also of Powhatan. Family in Buckingham Co by 1807 according to personal property tax records. Land Tax records show they held land on Crooked Creek in SE Buckingham County. Nancy was still alive at least through 1844 (tax records). Arthur and Nancy were parents of 8 children: John Moseley Bennett Watkins Moseley (b. 1802) - moved to Clay County, IL where he died 1855 Richard Moseley Edward Moseley - also found in Clay County, IL and St. Louis, MO area. Pamelia Moseley - m. Henry Howell prior to 1821 Robert Moseley (b 1813) - moved to Clay County, IL where he died 1899. Arthur Moseley - stayed in Virginia; became a lawyer according to family legend Mary Susan Moseley Robert Moseley was my 2nd Gr-Grandfather. The Moseley Family of Clay County, IL hold their annual reunion in Flora, IL the 2nd Sunday of August (August 9, 1998).
