    3. There are two postcards (both by W.E. Burgess, I believe) of the Civil War Monument. One shows a group of 50-60 mostly men, but a few women, seated in front of what appears to be the courthouse. The postcard says Copyright 1908, by. W.E. Burgess Photographed & published by W.E. Burgess, Scottsville, Va. Confederate Veterans A Photograph taken at the unveiling of the confederate soldiers monument at Buckingham C.H. June 30, 1908. There are no names on the postcard of those pictured and I have never been able to find any list of names. The other is a picture of the monument itself with many people standing around it although with their backs to the camera. No person's face can be seen. I do not have a copy of the postcards. I have only seen a scanned copy of the postcard that my uncle sent me before he died. Both photos are copyrighted though.
