Moore, Jr., 80 Of Buckingham Dies Sunday BUCKINGHAM, Sept. 6 - Samuel Arthur Moore, Jr., 80, of Buckingham, died Sunday, September 4, 2005. He was born September 30 1924 in Appomattox, the son of the late Samuel Arthur Moore, Sr. and Ethel Wells Moore. He is survived by his wife, Lois Bryant Moore; two sons, Roger D. Moore and wife, Linda and Tommy R. Moore and wife, Peggy of Buckingham; two grandchildren, Cherile and Anthony Moore; three great-grandchildren; brothers, C. W. Moore and wife. Hazel, Omar H. Moore, Sr. and wife, Lela; sisters, Harweda Mitchell, Marshall M. Gentry and Estelle B. Moore. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Marie Moore;brother, Ottice Z. Moore and sister, Riley M. Mitchell. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with interment in Buckingham Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Toga Fire Department.
