However, he lived in Curdsville, rather than New Canton. He would have been at Millbrook then, which was on CR 600, not far from present day Rt. 15. (If you have a county map, it connects to Rt. 15 by CR 621. I don't know how likely it would have been for him to travel up to New Canton, but there could not have been a large number of doctors in the county in 1843. John Wayles "Jack" Eppes was born in Henrico County, married the first time to Maria "Polly" Jefferson, daughter of Thomas Jefferson. He married his second wife, Martha Burke "Patsy" Jones of Halifax Co., NC. in 1809 and by 1811, he was living in Curdsville, where his second child was born. There is an older daughter, Mary Montfort Eppes, but I don't know her birthplace. A daughter of Dr. Eppes, as he was called, was Anne Grey "Nannie" Eppes, who was married to Dr. William Osborne. They also lived at Millbrook where it would appear that they were concurrently practicing medicine for a number of years. Perhaps that would explain how at least 2 of the Dr.'s got there. Dr. Osborne graduated from Medical College in 1826, so they might have gotten to your family's home. I have two different family lines in Buckingham County; one is a BRICK WALL and this might be an opportunity to ask for any ideas.I have absolutely no background on Dr. Osborne and would love to find out who his parents, siblings were. He may be kin to Thomas OSborne but I haven't been able to prove that. I also am related to Ida Lee Kyle who first married Thomas Brown Weller, and then Thomas Harry Davis. When married to Thomas Davis, they lived in New Canton and he (Davis) owned a store/repair shop "on the Arvonia road." I have not been there for a few years. They still have kin there, whom I have met only once. They are buried at the cemetery by a church, which right now I can't recall. I would love to see if any one can help me with these. Or if I can provide info. for others. Kyleen Jiannine Researching: EPPES, OSBORNE, DAVIS, WELLER.
