Carol, Thank you for this information. My 3rd great grandparents, William Gordon & Rhoda McCormick/McCormack, were married in Buckingham Co. circa 1821. I have been trying to find the parents of each of them. William was older, b. 1779 in VA, and was probably married to his first wife (name unknown) by the time period that this list covered. Rhoda was born in 1800 and it is possible that one of these three men was her father. From land transfer records, it appears that William & Rhoda obtained land from the estate of Stephen McCormack, but I have been unsuccessful finding names of his children. I appreciate your assistance in checking the book.
