Hello subscribers, I don't know when it came online, but I recently learned about the existence of a *searchable* land records database which is now available as part of the Library of Virginia's Digital Library program. The following address will take you to a page listing Buckingham county as the subject of the search: http://eagle.vsla.edu/cgi-bin/lonn.gateway?searchtype=subject&searcharg=Buckingham There are 415 records for the 18th century (i.e. 1700's), 243 records for the 19th century (i.e. 1800's), and also 53 records for the 20th century (i.e. 1900's), but I'm guessing that these 20th century records are really for the earlier centuries, but had their dates mis-typed.
