3 gr grandmother was Frances (Fannie) Word. Her father was John Word. Her mother was supposed to have been Frances Collins, whose parents were also from Buckingham Co VA. Fannie Word married John Jennings in Wilson Co TN in 1807. John Word died in Wilson Co in 1821 and I have a xeroxed copy of his will. I was told that the Words were from Buckingham co VA. The family was supposed to have migrated to Wilson Co TN about 1800. Fannie's son Rial C Jennings was my 2 gr grandfather. He married Drucilla Smith grand daughter of Alexander Smith and Diana Phelps. The Smith and Phelps family were also from Buckingham Co VA. Drucilla Smith's parents were Shadrack Smith and Nancy Bailey. Nancy Bailey Smith was a daughter of Benjamin Bailey who also was from Buckingham Co VA.
