John Carter RAKES/RAIKES b abt 1775 m Nancy SANDERS, moved to Marion Co, KY was said to be the son of William RAKES b abt 1750 d abt 1831. His mother is as yet unknown by any researchers as far as I know. I believe William RAKES was married twice and had children by both wives.
