A Dallas friend, Joyce Murray, published a book in 1994, Logan County, Kentucky Deed Abstracts, 1813-1819, and gave me permission to share with this group the abstracts that mentioned Buckingham, Co. Virginia. I know nothing more about the people and deeds than what is quoted, but hope they might help someone researching this burned county. Deed Book E, Page 26: Indenture 30 Sept 1814. William Duval was appointed as only trustee and upon death of sd Samuel Duvall, land was to be divided between Lucy C Dunston(?) and representatives of Samuel Shepherd Duvall, decd. Deed Book F, page 272: Indenture 21 May 1818 Abell Morgan and Stephen Fuqua, latter of Buckingham Co., Va.$300 pd, tract of 250 acres, adj J. H. Furman and P. Edwards lines. Wit: John Breathitt, C. Breathitt. (It states that 1/8 acre of above includes the grave of Abraham Morgan, Decd, and is reserved from sale.) Deed Book G, page 489. Indenture 6 Dec 1819.
