Finally someone else looking for the Ripley family. My Ripley family changed their name to Brown. I am the ggrandaughter of William F Brown b.1896 His father was Charlie Lee Brown b.1877 and his father was John R. Brown married to Georginia. John is listed on some census as John Ripley. It seems to have changed between 1860 and 1870. Do any of these names sound familiar? I have hit a dead end past John. If you can help I would appreciate it.
